The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed regarding the significant variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high status sassa variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is here no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance stage established for intervention encounters a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and boost usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency click here said.
